Spring 2027 at Cornell Law School
The Cornell Law Review is proud to announce that our Vol. 112 Symposium will be Gregg v. Georgia at 50: A Data-Driven Retrospective. Date: April 16, 2027.

Selection:
Symposia are selected by vote of the entirety of Law Review. Last year, we had five proposals to vote on, with varying levels of detail and varying levels of secured funding. The tentative date for voting on the next symposium is November 18.
Date:
Our Vol. 112 Symposium is led by Professors Johnson, Professor Blume, and Professor Hans of Cornell Law School, and it will take place on April 16, 2027. This symposium is abnormally late to accommodate the empirical research that the symposium is focusing on. Due to the timing of the Vol. 112 Symposium, the Vol. 113 Symposium could be held in the same year as its predecessor. In the past, symposia have typically been held on a Friday during the fall semester, but we are willing to accommodate.
Funding:
CLR does not fund the symposium event. We handle many (if not all) of the logistics for the event, but the CLR budget and the CLR symposium budget are kept entirely distinct from each other. Organizers are ultimately responsible for securing funding that they deem necessary for the event.
